For many of us, 2022 is off to a very tough start. As we all manage what it will take to keep services and supports reaching children, youth and families in our community, we recognize that the CYPT collaborative is uniquely positioned to provide to the community at large and decision-makers in the community real-time information on workforce and family needs.
Voting Members provided valuable information about the pressing needs of their organization and the children, youth and families accessing their services.
Data will be updated bi-weekly. We will also seek to capture on this page, actions being taken by CYPT member organizations, decision-makers in the community and the community at large based on the information gathered and shared.
What we’re hearing from members…
"Even though we have returned to in-person services, many people we serve are still too scared to attend. With the rise in case numbers, the fear is getting worse. This is adding stress on families, stronger feelings of isolation, and withdrawal from services."

What we’re hearing from members…
“Although we seem to be moving in the right direction to come out past COVID, we have determined that staff and families seem to be paralyzed by the current state of the world’s concerns. From war to occupations, people cannot turn it off. This seems to be overwhelming for many.”

“We certainly feel the pressure, from both families but also internally to get things underway, maybe even compensate a bit for all of the losses and set backs that people have experienced.”

"[There is an] inability to feel that we can move forward with real planning initiatives. I think there is a fear or lack ability to plan for the future, or plan with anticipation due to the overwhelming length of time we have lived under pandemic restrictions."
