In partnership with the PRC at Conestoga College, ELLA has launched a Community of Practice around Cuddle Up and Read as a tool for anti-racist and inclusive practices. You are welcome to join at any point.
Are you ready for Change?
ELLA is also planning their fall Generator event ‘Cultivating Compassionate Change – from October 31 – November 3. Each 90 min individual session will include a guest expert and two local thought leaders:
- Monday, October 31st – Dr. Jean Clinton – The power of healing through listening– to self, to other, to community
- Tuesday, November 1st – Natalie Royer with Meagan Snyder – Introducing rebellious resources for critical thinking in ECE and the Cuddle Up Community of Practice and pedagogical tool
- Wednesday, November 2nd – Kelly Brownbill – De-centering eurocentricity & welcoming different ways of knowing – in the workplace and our lives
- Thursday, November 3rd – Dr. Cranla McNeil-Warren – The transformative potential of mentorship – in facilitating different ways of working and facilitating change.
The final session of the 2022 Generator will be a Converging Event when all 4 speakers will come together in a Live Hybrid event to talk about lessons learned, issues revealed and intersecting approaches and challenges.
