Shared Measurement Evolution
The Children and Youth Planning Table (CYPT) Charter outlines that Voting Member Organizations’ Representatives provide official vote/endorsement from the lens of what is in the best interest of advancing the Vision and Mission of the CYPT. As such, CYPT Steering Committee has asked the Voting Member Organizations to vote and provide feedback into a recent recommendation made by the CYPT’s Data, Research and Evaluation Team (DRE Team).
Recommendation: The Children and Youth Planning Table move forward with a combination of the Canadian Index of Child and Youth Well-being and the current CYPT shared measurement framework (6 Shared Goals).
The recommendation was officially endorsed by Voting Members in September 2019. CYPT will evolve to combine the Canadian Index of Child and Youth Well-being (CY-Index) and the CYPT’s 6 Shared Goals. As of January 1, 2020, CYPT will use the 9 Domains of the CY-Index in place of the 6 Shared Goals. CYPT will use all indicators from the CY-Index plus the indicators from CYPT’s 6 Shared Goals. A summary report of the official endorsement will be shared mid-October.
