Carizon’s Understanding Me Group FREE
A free group for women who have experienced Intimate Partner Violence is set to begin online on June 16, 7:oo-8:30pm. The group covers topics such as family of origin, anger, boundaries, self-respect, red flags in relationships, etc. To register, speak to Intake at 519-743-6333.

 

Family and Children’s Services of Waterloo Region FREE
If any community member or professional has concerns about the safety and/or well-being of a
child or youth under 18, please contact a child protection worker at 519-576-0540. The office in Cambridge and the Family Centre are closed to the public, but visitors can come to the office at 200 Ardelt, Kitchener, where they will be screened before entering the building.

 

Wilmot-Wellesley Family Violence Prevention Program FREE
The Family Violence Prevention Program continues to operate during the pandemic crisis. We offer counselling support, safety planning, and referrals. Services are free and confidential and can be accessed by phone and video conferencing.

 

Women’s Crisis Services FREE
Women’s Crisis Services operates two shelters (locations below) for abused women and their children. Both are open to new residents, and offer programs for children and youth, counselling for women, and support finding housing and other basic needs. Their Outreach workers continue to support those in the community who do not need shelter or have not chosen shelter.
