#KidsTakeOver this year looked a little different, but there were still plenty of opportunities for young people to take over. This day is an opportunity for adults to show their commitment to ensuring children and youth feel valued, heard and included. It’s a chance for adults to practice “walking the talk” of power-sharing, and learn from the amazing children and youth in our community! Most #KidsTakeOver opportunities were held virtually this year and we are pleased to share that young people across the region were involved in Social Media takeovers with Kinbridge, Carizon, OK2BME, Regional Chair Karen Redman, LetsTalkYouth KW, KidsAbility, Counsellor Jim Erb and more. In addition to virtual opportunities, two young people had the chance to take over at Steckle Heritage Farm.
