Hearing Directly from 6-8 Year Olds About their Well-being
Thank you to all the children and caregivers who joined us on Saturday, April 5 for the Child Voice Project/Shaking the Movers Waterloo Region event! This event was centred around hearing directly from children 6-8 about their well-being. It was a fun-filled day of learning, playing, making new friends, eating snacks, and thinking about our communities of care.
The CYPT Backbone Team is currently putting together a report with all our findings. Stay tuned for that announcement in the summer. In the meantime, you can view our Shaking the Movers Report here.
Thank you to Dr. Tara Collins from Toronto Metropolitan University, the Landon Pearson Centre, the youth facilitators who led activities, and the Kitchener Public Library for hosting us!
Attending the CRAN Meeting in Ottawa
After holding the Child Voice Project event and finishing a Shaking the Movers Report, we will be joining the Child Rights Academic Network meeting in Ottawa on April 25-26. We’re excited to connect with others, learn more about what they’re doing to hear from children about their well-being, and share more about the work of the CYPT.
