At the CYPT, we recognize that the way society and systems operate keeps certain children, youth, and families out. With equity being a key focus area in the way we define belonging as a collaborative, we’re pleased to share this “Belonging in Action” work happening between two of our partners.
The Region of Waterloo and the YMCA of Three Rivers are excited to share four (4) two-year contract positions for Early Learning & Child Care Navigators (posting here). These roles are in response to our Region’s need to improve equitable access within Early Learning and Child Care services for BIPOC, 2SLGBTQIA+, and other equity seeking populations. These are NEW roles, and will be nested within our EarlyON umbrella (through the YMCA of Three Rivers) in direct partnership with the Region of Waterloo.
Successful candidates will be working alongside racialized and/or marginalized families, serving as an advocate for them as they face personal/systemic barrier to accessing our Region’s Early Learning and Child Care systems. This is important work in our community, and evidence of our Region’s desire to show up better for ALL families.
If this sounds like you, please apply today. If this sounds like a friend/colleague you think would be great for this role, please share the post.
