Save the Date!
Join celebrated Canadian author and parenting expert Ann Douglas as she discusses her new book “Happy Parents Happy Kids”. Two sessions will be offered at Kitchener Public Library’s Central Library auditorium Tuesday April 21st.
Session one (1:30-4:00pm) will be geared to service providers working with parents and caring adults. The afternoon presentation includes; what it means to truly “be the village” for the current generation of parents: how to design program and services that respond to the challenges that parents are facing and that engage them in an authentic and meaningful way.
The second session (6:30-8:30pm) will be geared to parents and caring adults. The evening presentation highlights the broader cultural forces that have made everything about parenting feel incredibly high stakes then pivots to sharing solutions, explaining how parents have the unique opportunity to serve as agents of change in their families and their communities.
Each session will include an opportunity to explore positive parenting resources and services, networking and a Q/A session with Ann herself.
